Jazzara Jaslyn is an actress, writer, and director born and based in Cape Town. She graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2014 with a BA in Theatre and Performance. A promising film and theatre career ensued.Notable stage roles include Beth in Sam Shepard’s A Lie of the Mind, Nun in The White Whore and the Bit Player, Chloe in STILL and Alex Forrest in the stage adaptation of Fatal Attraction. On screen, she has starred as Eliza Pendleton in HBO’s Warrior, Miranda in M-Net’s Lioness and Jane Swan in Professionals, opposite Brendan Fraser. She will soon appear as Miss Valentine in Season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece.Jazzara’s passion for storytelling later expanded into filmmaking and poetry. Her debut short film A Knowing released in 2024 and went on to receive nine international awards. Her second short film Strange Dance is a whimsical ode to life, launching in 2026.
