Candice van Litsenborgh

Candice van Litsenborgh was born in East London and raised in Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha).
She made her professional debut in Benjamin Britton’s Noye’s Fludde for CAPAB before going on to graduate from the University of Cape Town with a BA in Theatre and Performance, specialising in Musical Theatre.
Her musical theatre credits include three Fleur Du Cap nominated performances: Little Shop of Horrors (also Naledi nominated), Sweeney Todd and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
She has appeared in multiple international musical productions on three continents.
Musical credits include: Kinky Boots, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar, Showboat, Into the Woods, Sunset Boulevard, Annie and Assassins.
Theatre credits include: Sasolburg - Common Birds of South Africa, Court, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet and Huis Clos (No Exit).
Film and television credits include Barbra Berman in the South African coming of age film, Just Now Jeffrey, Esme Smit in Desert Rose, and Mother Zero in Resident Evil (Netflix) She has provided the English (and occasionally Afrikaans) voices for over a hundred cartoons, movies, tv series, soapies and telenovelas.
Currently, she is the English voice of the titular character in Anupamaa for Starlife on DSTV.
Other voice credits include: Lilian Larsen in all season of Bron/Broen (The Bridge), Miss Macintosh in Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia, and Sudha Murty in Sudha Murty’s Stories of Wit and Magic for Netflix.
Candice is a playwright and script doctor who specialises in festival length one and two hander shows.
Six of her own scripts have been produced for stage.
She is also a photographer, specialising in actor’s head shots and marketing for theatre productions under the banner of Canned Rice Productions.
She will be appearing on stage again in The Addams Family in late 2024, she is reprising the role of Dorette in season two of Recipes For Love and Murder, and has three movies currently in post production.
