Siyabulela “Siya” Ramba is a Cape Town-based actor, MC, and professionally-trained dancer with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He began his career at just 12 years old, landing his first TV role on Famous (Season3) for Urban Brew Productions.
During the show, he was selected to join Fuze, a South African pop group formed as part of the series.
The group went on to release an album and tour the country as part of the SABC Roadshow in 2007 — marking the start of Siya’s multifaceted performance career.
Since then, Siya has built a dynamic portfolio across TV, film, presenting, and commercial work.
He has featured in high-profile campaigns for Coca-Cola, KFC, Volkswagen, Checkers, Lottostar, and PEP, and is well-known locally for his roles in youth-focused and socially conscious programming on SABC and MTV Base.
Internationally, he is recognised for playing Willie in the Emmy Award-winning FOX series 24 alongside Kiefer Sutherland, and for a lead role in the Warner Bros.
film franchise Free Willy.
His career as a television presenter includes three adventurous seasons of Which Way (Okuhle Media), where he travelled across South Africa experiencing everything from shark cage diving to bungee jumping.
He later joined Shore Thing (Homebrew Films) to explore South Africa’s coastal regions, became a field correspondent for MTV (Viacom), and hosted The Next 48 Hours, a Cape Town-based lifestyle show covering celebrity interviews, fashion, events, and travel.
In scripted television, Siya starred as Lebo in Nkululeko, a coming-of-age drama produced by Bomb Productions.
Trained at Ricardo’s Dance Academy, Siya brings strong physicality and rhythm to his work, complemented by sharp improvisational instincts honed through his time with the UCT Improv Club.
His skillset spans drama, comedy, voiceover, and live presenting, with an ease and versatility that make him both castable and compelling.
Fluent in English, isiXhosa and Afrikaans, Siya is currently based in Cape Town and is available for film, television, commercial, hosting, and voice work across South Africa and beyond.
