Elizabeth van Vuuren
Elizabeth van Vuuren is a actress and director from Cape Town, South Africa.
She finished her undergraduate degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Stellenbosch University in 2017.
She then continued to complete her honours degree in 2018 and her masters in 2024.
She has been a life long lover of the arts, starting with drama classes at the age of 7.
From there she explored many other different cultural activities, from various different types of dancing during her schooling years, to being part of various choirs over the course of 12 years.
Even at school she was already partaking in musical theatre productions at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town (Brundibar, 2011).
Her love for the stage has not dwindled, but it was during her time as a student that she started to fall in love with films and acting for film and television.
She has since then appeared in multiple different local South African tv shows including the award winning Suidooster, Koek, as well as Wyfie.
Her love for the film industry does not end there.
During her time as an honours student she specialised in directing and received highest marks for her directing project at the end of her studies.
She took that production one step further by showcasing it at Woordfees 2020, where the production got an award nomination.
She is passionate about the entertainment industry, especially the South African entertainment industry and thrives to uplift and elevate it to the international standard she believes it deserves.
